Creating new from old
This impressive new build home nestled in a tiny hamlet in West Yorkshire was once a row of run down cottages. Mono Masonry worked with architects One17 Design to bring this beautiful project to life.
The Challenge
Meticulous Work
The project included the demolition of 3 existing cottages to make way for the dwelling. The ashlar frontage of those cottages was taken down stone by stone, cleaned and reused on the entrance facade of the new house.
Nothing wasted
The remaining stone from the demo was used to build the garage and the drystone walls, making the building feel timeless in its surroundings.
Impressive Additions
Part of Mono Masonry's package was to create a grand stone staircase for the home, showcasing our attention to detail and precision work.
Complimenting the Landscape
One17 Design designed a beautiful landscaping package to compliment this impressive home, and Mono Masonry brought this to life with traditional dry stone walling and practical stone patios that sit beautifully within the greenery of the surroundings.
